Towering gothic arch of the historic Bermuda church ruins framing the wedding ceremony

Bermuda Wedding Photographer

Bermuda weddings

Aaron DeSilva photographs weddings in Bermuda on both film and digital, working in a documentary and editorial style. Twelve weddings in the portfolio were shot on the island, three of them inside the Unfinished Church ruins at St George’s, others at Rosewood Bermuda, on Hawkins Island, along the south shore beaches and against the pastel walls the island is known for. Elopements and engagement sessions too, with photography and videography available together.

Where these were photographed

The Unfinished Church, St George’s

The roofless gothic ruin above St George’s. Open sky through the arches, stone that goes warm late in the day, and enough scale that a ceremony inside it reads as an event. Three of the weddings below were photographed here.

Rosewood Bermuda

A ceremony room of checkered marble and white florals with violin and cello, a colonnade and palm lined paths for the first look, and a turquoise pool that glows after dark.

Hawkins Island

A private island in the bay. A white floral arch over the water for the ceremony, a clifftop lawn with the whole sound behind it, and fireworks over the tent at the end of the night.

The south shore beaches

Pink sand and that particular turquoise, best in the last hour of light once the water goes luminous and the crowds have gone. Good for the quiet half hour away from the reception.

Southampton and the west end

Resort terraces and cliff paths with the ocean behind everything. Wide enough for a first look, sheltered enough that wind is not deciding the day for you.

The pastel walls

Coral pink, white roofs, oleander. The colour the island is known for, and the reason a gallery from Bermuda never looks like a gallery from anywhere else.

Twelve weddings in Bermuda

Every one of these was photographed on the island. Full galleries, not selects.

Questions couples ask

Do you travel to Bermuda for weddings?
Yes. Bermuda is one of the places I work from regularly, and twelve of the weddings in my portfolio were photographed on the island. Travel costs get discussed per wedding rather than applied as a flat fee.
Do you photograph elopements and engagement sessions in Bermuda?
Yes. Elopements, engagement sessions and small weddings get the same documentary and editorial approach as a full wedding day, on film and digital, at the beaches, the church ruins or anywhere else on the island.
Which Bermuda venues have you photographed?
Rosewood Bermuda, Hawkins Island, the Unfinished Church ruins in St George’s, the south shore pink sand beaches, Southampton and the west end, and a lot of the island’s pastel walls and gardens. Every venue named on this page has photographs behind it in the galleries below.
How far in advance should we book you?
Typically, I recommend at least a year in advance for best chances on date availability.
Do you offer both photography and videography services together?
Yes! We can chat about what the priority for you is, and subcontract another amazing shooter to capture the day with me if required.
Do you shoot alone or work with a second photographer/videographer?
I almost always shoot with an assistant or 2nd shooter. Key moments happen quickly and we want to ensure the smoothest day for everyone.
Can we customize a package to fit our needs?
Absolutely! All of my packages are customized for each couple.
What is your payment schedule and cancellation policy?
A 50% deposit to hold the date, and the remainder 1 week prior to the wedding date.
